On Friday, January 26, the YouTuber took to his Snapchat account to share a new picture featuring their little bundle of joy. In the image posted online, Halle took their picture as DDG held their son to stand up on his own feet.

The baby, whose face was blurred to keep his privacy, clearly couldn't stand on his own yet, but his playful parents still looked excited, flashing their smiles in the image. In the caption, the rapper wrote, "We teaching him how to walk!!!" adding a red heart emoji.

Halle and DDG likely didn't mean to put their young child in danger, but that didn't stop social media users from criticizing the couple for getting ahead of the baby's growth. "Children having children and don't know what to do..," one person commented on the photo after it was reposted on Hollywood Unlocked's Instagram account.

Another likened the couple to Chrisean Rock and Blueface, "but they just rich." A third weighed in, "They a lil too excited. Like he's not a toy. Let him grow a little first." A concerned user said, "That baby is 2 hrs old put that baby down."

Meanwhile, another blasted the first-time parents, "How u gon teach a newborn how to walk? Seek help." Someone else claimed, "I sometimes think these celebs like to be judged .. even if they joking, common sense you gonna get a lot of heat for this post."

However, a few people have come to Halle and DDG's defense, with one saying, "I don't care what anyone else says I love seeing young couple, especially dads being so excited with their little joy!" Halle and DDG confirmed the arrival of their first child on January 6. Making use of Instagram, she unleashed a picture of her manicured hand holding her baby boy's tiny hand. The infant could be seen wearing a gold bracelet etched with the name "Halo."

In the caption, "The Little Mermaid (2023)" star wrote, "even though we're a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son." She added, "welcome to the world my halo. the world is desperate to know you."
