AceShowbiz - "Deadpool 3" has finally wrapped production after Hollywood strikes delayed filming. Announcing that shooting has concluded, Ryan Reynolds took to social media on Wednesday, January 24 to share a new set picture along with an emotional message.

Marking the last day of filming in his most Deadpool way, the actor posted the photo of himself in his character's costume, but the image only captured the crotch area down to the thighs. In the caption, he wrote, "The suit hides blood. Also sweat... But today, with Deadpool wrapping, it's mostly tears."

In a more serious note, the Canadian-born star added, "A giant and forever thanks to the cast and crew of our film who battled wind, rain, strikes and @thehughjackman... all under the stalwart leadership of @slevydirect." He went on sharing, "I got to make a movie with my closest pals and that doesn't happen very often. See ya July 26th..."

Director Shawn Levy reposted the image on his Story while acknowledging that the snap was "weird." He added over the picture, "Feels like a weird image to report, but what the hell. Massive gratitude to this cast and crew. Post-production starts at dawn."

Hugh Jackman, who reprises his role as Wolverine for the third Deadpool movie, also celebrated the end of production by getting a haircut and shaving his beard, which he grew for the film. On his own Instagram page, he shared a video of him getting the makeover.

The Australian hunk wrote in the caption, "What a ride! I've loved every minute of making this movie. Well ... not the 4a training or the steamed fish and veg 4 x a day for 6 months but the other 93.2%." He went on sharing his appreciation to the cast and crew of the film.

"A collective thank you to the entire cast and crew," he continued. "You are all aces! If you're reading this and think I mean you, I do. To two of my best mates @vancityreynolds and @slevydirect I literally couldn't have done this without you. LITERALLY! July 26th can't come soon enough. Time to shave."

"Deadpool 3" began production in May 2023 before it was suspended in July due to the SAG-AFTRA strike. After the strike ended in November, Disney announced a new release date for the movie, pushing it back from May 3, 2024 to July 26, 2024.

Plot details remain unknown, but Morena Baccarin recently teased that the upcoming movie will feature a "fun surprise." There were rumors of tons of cameos in the film, but Levy particularly got coy about Taylor Swift's possible appearance in the film.

"I'm going across the board," he said when responding to the rumors of the pop superstar allegedly playing Dazzler. " 'No comment' because that's a double whammy. That's Taylor-related. And it's MCU-related. I'm no dummy. You're going to have to wait and see."
