AceShowbiz - Shawn Levy has finally broken his silence on rumors that Taylor Swift may star in "Deadpool 3". After hanging out with the singer/actress at the NFL game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the New York Jets, the director remains coy on the speculation that the pop superstar will be appearing as Dazzler in the upcoming movie.

In an interview with TheWrap, the "Stranger Things" producer acknowledged that fans have been "loud" about wanting Swift to play the musical mutant. "They sure are loud," Levy said of Swifties' reactions.

Without confirming nor denying the rumors, the filmmaker added, "I'm going across the board. 'No comment' because that's a double whammy. That's Taylor-related. And it's MCU-related. I'm no dummy. You're going to have to wait and see."

In the same interview, Levy shared a disappointing update regarding the release date of the third "Deadpool" movie, which filming has been suspended due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike. "I wish I knew. I don't even know if we officially have [a release date]. I know we were gonna be May 3," he said of the threequel, which stars Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. "Certainly, the actors' strike and the long pause in production have put that release date in true risk."

The "Free Guy" director, however, can assure that he has shot and edited half the film. "We've shot half the movie. I've edited half the movie," he said, before sharing his hope, "We're dying to get back to work and get this movie out next year."

The speculation that Swift would made a cameo in "Deadpool 3" is mounting after she hung out with the movie's cast and director at the NFL game at MetLife Stadium in New York City earlier this month. On October 1, the singer/songwriter was seen arriving at the venue along with her longtime friend Blake Lively.

The two ladies were soon followed by Lively's husband Reynolds, his best pal Jackman as well as Levy. All five of them were also pictured inside the venue sitting on the same row.
