Hugh Jackman Dishes on His 'One Little Gripe' About 'Deadpool and Wolverine'

Wolverine actor Hugh Jackman has one complaint about working on the blockbuster hit 'Deadpool and Wolverine' and he shares it with the crowd at his Radio City Music Hall show.

AceShowbiz - Hugh Jackman, beloved for his long-time portrayal of Wolverine, kicked off his "From New York, With Love" concert series at Radio City Music Hall by recounting his time on the set of "Deadpool & Wolverine". He admitted he had "one little gripe" about the film.

According to multiple sources, Jackman quipped about being excluded from a pivotal scene in the movie. "Ryan and Shawn were writers on the movie, and the opening of the movie had this dance sequence... It had the character of Deadpool dancing to an NSYNC song," said Jackman.

The dance scene in question, featuring Reynolds' double grooving to iconic hit "Bye Bye Bye," was a spectacle that Jackman felt somewhat miffed about missing.

He understood that he didn't "have to be in every frame of the movie," but still found it "weird" he and Ryan Reynolds were together for most of it "except for the dance sequence."

He hilariously questioned Reynolds' dancing chops, asserting, "Ryan, he's very talented, but dancing?" To "rectify" the situation, Jackman invited his trainer - former dancer Beth Lewis - on stage to show the audience what they missed. The delightful performance included a fast-paced jump rope routine and ended with a Wolverine-inspired flourish.

Jackman's playful jab at Reynolds didn't overshadow the touching moments of his concert. It featured numbers from his movies such as "Les Miserables" and "The Greatest Showman".

He expressed deep gratitude to his fans, saying, "Thank you for being here. I hosted the Tonys here 22 years ago, and my dream was to perform here. Thank you for being here."

Jackman's "From New York, With Love" will continue with additional performances throughout the year. At a previous gig, Ryan Reynolds even made a surprise cameo.

Fans of Jackman can catch his concert series at Radio City Music Hall throughout the year and can stream "Deadpool & Wolverine" on Disney+. Here's hoping we get to see Wolverine's dance moves in future Marvel outings!
