The actress, who portrayed Cady Heron in the 2004 movie of the same name, makes a surprise return as the moderator of the mathematics competition in the reboot.

AceShowbiz - Lindsay Lohan reportedly scored a quite hefty paycheck for her brief return in the new "Mean Girls (2024)" movie. The actress, who played Cady Heron in the 2004 movie of the same name, reportedly was paid a six-figure salary for her cameo appearance in the reboot.

Sources tell Variety that the 37-year-old made $500,000 for just half a day of filming for the new take on the teen comedy film by Tina Fey. She did not reprise her role as Cady, but appeared as the moderator of the mathematics competition, where Angourie Rice's Cady is competing.

In the original movie, Lindsay's character and her teammates go head-to-head with a rival high school during an academic decathlon on the night of the Spring Fling. During her cameo, Lindsay quips in the scene that the moment feels "familiar."

While Lindsay has shown her support for the new film, even attending the premiere in New York earlier this month, she was disappointed by an off-color joke at her expense in the movie. A rep for the actress said, "Lindsay was very hurt and disappointed by the reference in the film."

In the new movie, Megan Thee Stallion says, "We are going back red. Y2K fire crotch is back!" The comment is a reference to an infamous remark made by oil heir Brandon Davis back in 2006, when he called Lindsay the name during a night out in Los Angeles.

Defending his daughter, her father Michael Lohan has ripped the "Mean Girls" reboot. He told TMZ that he's "pissed" over the "disgusting comment" in the film.

In other news related to the musical, it has been revealed that Harry Styles was almost cast in the movie. Directors Samantha Jayne and Arturo Perez Jr. revealed in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that they considered casting the British star for the classic role of Glen Coco.

Samantha said, "We were like Harry Styles could be Glen Coco!" They, however, ditched the idea for a bolder approach as she revealed, "Then we were like, hold on, we love to break the fourth wall: What if we are all Glen Coco? So, after 20 years, we can all feel like Glen Coco."
