In a new episode of her and boyfriend T.J. Holmes' joint podcast 'Amy and T.J. Podcast', the former TV anchor talks about her firing from the ABC daytime talk show.

AceShowbiz - Amy Robach is looking back at how she spent 2023. In a new episode of her and boyfriend T.J. Holmes' joint podcast "Amy and T.J. Podcast", the former TV anchor talked about her firing from "Good Morning America 3".

The episode saw Amy revealing that she has no interest in returning to the morning television show. "I learned that I never want to go back to the grind of morning television," she shared. She explained that while she does "miss the people" she used to work with, she does "not miss the job."

T.J. showed full agreement with his girlfriend. "I'm with you there," he chimed in.

Amy, who worked as a news broadcaster since 1995 and anchored at CNBC and NBC's "Weekend Today" show before moving networks to ABC in 2012, said that she can "sleep better now" as she's "living authentically." The 50-year-old added, "It's never too late to start again, to start over."

Amy and T.J., who previously co-hosted "Good Morning America" together, made headlines after their romantic relationship was revealed. The controversy cost their jobs at the daytime talk show as they were let go from the show. "After several productive conversations with Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes about different options, we all agreed it's best for everyone that they move on from ABC News," the company wrote in an email to staff at the time.

Following the firing, the couple stayed low-key for some time before launching their new podcast on December 5, 2023. In the debut episode, the pair made sure to confirm that no infidelity took place in either of their previous marriages. Both Amy and T.J. ended their marriage to their respective partners in the summer of 2022.

"We shouldn't have allowed, [and] I can say that in hindsight, for folks to find out about our relationship before they found out about our divorces," T.J. noted. "If people would have heard [about the divorces] earlier [then] 'they're in a relationship, now they're dating,' maybe an eyebrow would have been raised or something, but it wouldn't have become what it became."
