AceShowbiz - Heather Rae Young will not be returning to "Selling Sunset" for its season 8. Following speculations regarding her involvement in the upcoming season of the Netflix show, the star has finally confirmed her exit.
On Wednesday, December 6, the mom of one took to her Instagram account to share a picture of her and new bestie/co-star Bre Tiesi. "Opposite in almost every way but became besties immediately- and even though we're not on the same show together anymore, our friendship is stronger than ever," so the wife of Tarek El Moussa wrote in the caption.
She further added, "True friendship is when two friends can walk in opposite directions, yet remain side by side."
When it comes to her friendship with Bre, the feelings are mutuals. The baby mama of Nick Cannon previously gushed over Heather in an interview with E! News. "I absolutely adore Heather," she said, "I'm very sad to hear that she is not going to be as big a part … We got really close."
Meanwhile, Heather had hinted at her departure in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. "I don't know what I'm allowed to say, so I'm not gonna say anything, I don't know what to tell though. I'm not in the know. [But] I'm not returning to 8," she said at the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix Race.
Heather's departure came after she took maternity leave toward the end of season 7. "I've been off maternity leave, and I've been excited to get back to work, and so far I have not been called back," she said in an interview with E! News. "It's been a little frustrating. So [I'm] not sure what's been going on."
Heather, who welcomed her and Tarek's son, Tristan, in January, revealed in a separate interview that her life changed after entering the motherhood. "I love being able to prioritize my family and my happiness and step away from some of the drama that Selling Sunset brought into my life," she shared. "A lot of things happened that I choose not to speak about, but overall I am very happy with how my life is."
