The Pennsylvania native and the Scottish DJ went Instagram official in April that same year before making their first red carpet appearance as a couple at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards in May. The two decided to call off their relationship in March 2016.
More than one year later, Swift released a track titled "Gorgeous" that is speculated to have been inspired by Harris, who is 6 years older than her. Swifties believed that the "Cats" actress mentioned her and Harris' age gap as well as his career on the song. "I've got a boyfriend/ He's older than us/ He's in the club doing I don't know what," she sings.
