AceShowbiz - Olivia Rodrigo fans will soon be treated to new music from the star, which is part of "The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes" soundtrack. The singer/actress has teased her new song titled "Can't Catch Me Now" after it's confirmed that she will contribute a track to the movie.

The Grammy winner unveiled a snippet of the song on Wednesday, November 1 along with 60-second preview of "The Hunger Games" prequel. In the clip, Rodrigo's layered vocals drive an upbeat drum rhythm that gets more and more energized as the beat patterns condense.

In the caption, the 20-year-old expressed her feelings to be part of the movie. "soooo beyond excited that I got the opportunity to write a song for The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes," she wrote, before revealing the release date, "my song 'Can't Catch Me Now' comes out November 3rd!!!"

Lionsgate also played a snippet of Olivia's song at an event in Times Square, New York City to align with the movie tickets going on sale. The event was attended by stars Tom Blyth and Rachel Zegler, who was seen cozying up to her boyfriend and co-star Josh Andres Rivera.

"Can't Catch Me Now" is available for pre-order now and will serve as the opening track to the 17-song album due out on November 17 via Geffen Records. The soundtrack also includes songs performed in the film by Zegler as well as tracks by young artists in the folk/Americana genre.

Director Francis Lawrence spoke of Rodrigo's involvement in his upcoming movie, "From the very beginning of this franchise, we have been fortunate to attract some of the world's most talented recording artists, whose music has accentuated and complemented the drama of the films while underscoring the emotional weight carried by the characters. With her highly charged lyrics and urgent voice, Olivia Rodrigo taps into all of that as much as any artist today. "The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes" follows the events that eventually lead a young Coriolanus Snow (Blyth) on the path to becoming the tyrannical leader of Panem, including his relationship with the Hunger Games tribute Lucy Gray Baird (Zegler). It will be released in theaters across the nation on November 17.

The movie recently received an interim agreement from SAG-AFTRA that allow the cast to participate in press tour and promotion for the film amid the ongoing actors' strike. Lionsgate, which produces and will distribute the film, is considered not part of the AMPTP, hence the interim agreement.
