When stopping by 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!', the 'Vampire' songstress recalls her awkward experience of going to college without having friends and walking into the wrong class.

AceShowbiz - Olivia Rodrigo clearly had a new experience from her short stint at college. The actress/singer took a poetry class at USC last year and she has now opened up about her "terrifying" first day of college.

The 20-year-old artist stopped by "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on Wednesday, October 25 during which she recalled, "I went to college last year and it was absolutely terrifying." The former "High School Musical: The Musical: The Series" said she had no friends and walked into the wrong class.

"And I walked in and I went in... I had no friends and didn't know where to go and I actually walked into the wrong class," she continued. "I just walked into a lecture and sat down and I looked at everyone's like paperwork and I'm like oh I did all the reading and they didn't talk about this in the syllabus and I was like kind of freaking out. But I sat there the whole time and I was like 'I'm in the wrong class.' "

Of what she learned from taking the class, she shared, "I wrote a bunch of poems and I turned one of the poems that I wrote in the class into the song 'Lacy' that's on the album."

The "Good 4 U" songstress sent her fans into frenzy when she was photographed being seated in a class at the University of Southern California's Thornton School of Music in September 2022. In a picture taken and shared by a fan, she appeared to be listening intently to whatever the lecturer had to say while keeping low-key.

Another photo that popped up on Olivia fan pages showed her status at the school as an "undergraduate visitor" with an "unclassified" major. According to USC, a "visiting student" may enroll in and complete "individual courses for professional or personal development without enrolling in a degree program."

In a recent interview with "Today", she explained her decision to attend the class. "I took a college class last year. Because I was homeschooled my whole life so I wanted to have that kind of experience," she said. "And it definitely aided by songwriting a lot. I feel really lucky that I could've done that."

When praised for her passion for learning despite the success of her first album "Sour", Olivia humbly responded, "I love learning and I love writing."
