AceShowbiz - 2 Chainz has explained the reason behind his "unbelievable" birthday gift. After celebrating his 46th birthday, the "Bigger Than You" rapper, whose real name is Tauheed K. Epps, revealed that he treated himself to a lawn mower for a specific reason.
The hip-hop artist, who turned 46 years old on September 12, talked about his special day and a number of gifts that he got himself when making an appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" alongside Lil Wayne on Friday, October 20. "I bought a lawn mower and a strip club," he began revealing, prompting Wayne to burst into laughter and host Jimmy Fallon to deem the gifts "unbelievable."
On the reason why, Chainz elaborated, "I've lived in apartments my whole life, then I became a rapper, and I got me a house, and then I had money, so I pay people to do everything for me like most rich people do. And then I woke up, and I said, 'You know what? I've never cut the grass before.' "
"I felt like maybe I hadn't crossed over the threshold of manhood, and so I woke up, and I got me a John Deere. Zero-turn," the "Feds Watching" spitter continued. As for the strip club, he unveiled that it is named CandyLand and is located in Atlanta. He went on to promote his new venture by saying, "Go check it out."
This was not the first time Chainz discussed the unusual gift for his birthday. On September 12, he uploaded a video of him explaining his intention to cut grass with his new lawn mower via Instagram. "I have a rather large yard and I just wanted to cut the grass. I've never cut the grass," he said in the footage.
"I stayed at apartments my whole life until me and Kesha got together. I was payin' people to do stuff, so this my first time as a man, it's kinda crazy but I had a ball!" he continued. He also released a clip documenting him trying the lawn mower for the first time.
Along with the two videos, the "Watch Out" rapper wrote in the caption of the post, "Is this what they mean by getting old. I found this to be very therapeutic !!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!!! 9/12 #virgoseason."
