Prior to becoming famous as television host, comedian, and actor, Jimmy Fallon started performing stand-up comedy in high school. He later dropped out of college just shy of graduation to pursue a professional comedy career. A big fan of "Saturday Night Live" since childhood, he got a chance to audition for the show in late 1990s and was subsequently recruited as one of the show's cast. Starring alongside Will Ferrell, Tracy Morgan and Molly Shannon, he proved to be outstanding and had his own fan base, thanks to his impressions of diverse mix of personalities.

In 2004, Fallon announced his departure from the show with the intention to venture into feature films. He made his film debut in "Almost Famous" before then starred in crime comedy "Taxi", followed by romantic comedy "Fever Pitch", and drama flick "Factory Girl". In 2008, the Bay Ridge, Brooklyn native was courted by NBC to take over Conan O'Brien's late-night talk show. When "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" first aired in 2009, it received mixed reviews. In fact, Fallon proved to be able to make a difference with comedy segments, including playing games with guests and making humorous videos.

Following the show's success, in early 2013 it was announced that Fallon would be replacing Jay Leno as the new host of "The Tonight Show". Thus, the "Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" was debuted on February 17, 2014. Speaking on it, the star himself said, "I just want to do the best I can. And take care of the show for a while." Fallon was born James Thomas Fallon on September 19, 1974. He and film producer Nancy Juvonen have been married since December 22, 2007. The couple has a daughter, Winnie Rose, born in 2013 via gestational surrogacy.
