AceShowbiz - Lorde looked unrecognizable following her hair transformation. The "Green Light" singer appeared different with her new hairstyle when she was on a subway ride after dyeing her dark-colored hair a lighter color.

The 26-year-old two-time Grammy winner did not look like herself in a series of new photos released via social media by one of her fans earlier in October. In the snaps, it could be seen that she was flaunting her long blonde hair while sitting on a subway seat alone. Her tresses, which she parted in the middle, were styled into two big braids. They were long enough to reach her upper chest.

One of the photos saw the "Royals" songstress, whose real name is Ella Marija Lani Yelich-O'Connor, smiling from ear-to-ear while striking a pose with the fan. In another picture, she was caught on camera sitting alone while looking in another direction.

For the day out, Lorde opted to wear a comfortable ensemble. She donned a short-sleeved tee that came with abstract patterns in a number of colors, including green and blue. She tucked her top in a pair of loose long white pants. She put on a long-sleeved darker green sweatshirt on her shoulders.

The "Tennis Court" hitmaker also had a pair of white headphones around her neck and a blue surgical mask under her chin as well as a gray graphics tote bag on one of her shoulders. To accessorize the look, she added a ring and bracelet.

The new sighting of Lorde came after she revealed that she has been struggling with a mystery illness. In September, she sent her fans an email newsletter titled "How I've Been, Revised" that read, "I'm different but the same. I ache all the time, I forget why and then remember. I'm not trying to hide the pain, I understand pain isn't something to hide."

"There's actually great beauty in moving with it. But sometimes I'm sick of being with myself," she continued. "I sit in the time machine and wait for it to move, but it hasn't been invented yet. The little yellow pill I took every morning for thousands of mornings since I was 15, I stopped taking it 5 days ago. Gonna see how it goes."
