AceShowbiz - The Bristol festival Forwards has revealed that Lorde will headline this year’s event, taking place at the city’s Clifton Downs on Friday, August 28. This exciting announcement comes ahead of her performance at London’s All Points East the weekend prior.
Joining Lorde on stage will be an array of talented support acts, with musician and Stranger Things star Djo (also known as Joe Keery) leading the lineup. Other notable performances will include New York singer-songwriter Audrey Hobert, who made waves in 2025 with her track ‘Sex And The City’, as well as former NME Cover star and BRITs Critics’ Choice nominee Rose Gray, Australian artist Esha Tewari, and Bristol-based producer, vocalist, and DJ Grove.
Lorde’s show at Forwards is set to occur just before the main festival weekend, which will also take place at Clifton Downs on the Bank Holiday (Saturday, August 29, and Sunday, August 30).
Festival organizers have indicated that additional lineup announcements are expected in the coming months, promising a diverse array of performers.
Tickets for Lorde’s performance will go on general sale at 10 AM GMT this Friday (February 6), and fans can purchase theirs here. For those looking to secure early access, a pre-sale will be available at the same time on Thursday (February 5) by signing up here.
This year’s tour schedule for Lorde includes appearances at major festivals such as Madrid’s Mad Cool, Lisbon’s NOS Alive, and New York City’s Governors Ball. She is also set to headline the Edinburgh Summer Sessions in August.
In late 2025, Lorde brought her ‘Ultrasound’ world tour to the UK and Ireland, performing two memorable shows at The O2 in London. During these performances, she was joined on stage by Sadie Sink from Stranger Things.
In a four-star review of her London performance, NME noted: “The intimate feeling that Lorde creates doesn’t just extend to a crowd voyeuristically watching her from afar. She finds ways to bring everyone together, whether by expressing how ‘special’ the London audience is for making her feel free and at home during the months spent creating ‘Virgin’, or uniting the arena in cheers as she subtly nods to Palestine during ‘Team’, with stage lights turning green, white, and red. ‘We are a network of bodies,’ she tells us after. ‘Don’t forget it now.’”
Lorde’s album ‘Virgin’ achieved a respectable Number 24 ranking on NME’s list of the 50 best albums of 2025, described as “a fierce rebirth for Lorde.” Additionally, her single ‘Man Of The Year’ secured the Number 16 spot in the 50 best songs.
