The spokesmodel for Maybelline shows love to her former longtime partner following his podcast appearance, in which he discussed the reason why he remained mum on the incident involving Yolanda Hadid.

AceShowbiz - Gigi Hadid shows that she remains amicable with Zayn Malik nearly two years after their split. The supermodel has shown some love to her former longtime partner and baby daddy by liking his recent Instagram post.

On Monday, July 24, the British singer posted a picture of him going shirtless while he's sitting in front of a red piano. The photo captured his back, showing off a massive tattoo of a building down his spine.

The former One Direction member left the photo captionless, leaving fans wondering if he was teasing more new music soon after the release of his new song "Love Like This" on July 21. Showing her support regardless the project he has up on his sleeve, Gigi pressed the like button on the post.

Zayn, who shares 2-year-old daughter Khai with Gigi, recently talked about the reason why he remained silent on allegation that he assaulted Gigi's mom Yolanda Hadid during an argument in October 2021. "For me like… I don't tend to get involved when people say things online," he said on Alex Cooper's "Call Her Daddy" podcast, "whether it's got something to do with me or whether it doesn't."

He explained, "...because, for me the most valuable thing that I have in life is time and that takes so much time, in a toxic environment to like explain yourself to people and justify this. So I just kind of kept to myself."

"I knew what the situation was, I knew what happened, and the people involved knew what happened too and that's all I really cared about," the "Pillowtalk" singer added in the July 12 episode of the podcast. "If anybody of a sane mind would look at the situation, I believe you could respect that I just didn't want to bring attention to anything, y'know? I wasn't trying to get into a negative back and forth with her."

The 30-year-old musician also revealed that he's worried that his daughter Khai would someday be able to read about it. "Any sort of narrative online where my daughter was going to look back and read that and be able to read into it and it would just be something that was… There was no point," he shared. "I believe I dealt with it in the best way. In an amicable, respectful way, and that's all that needs to be said."

Zayn and Gigi broke up shortly after his altercation with Yolanda made headlines.
