AceShowbiz - Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky are not pulling the plug on their marriage despite reports stating otherwise. Hours after news broke that they are calling it quits, the pair have taken to their respective social media account to debunk the split rumors.
"In regards to the news that came out about us today... Any claims regarding divorcing are untrue," they began their joint statement posted on late Monday, July 3. While acknowledging that their marriage has recently gone through a bumpy ride, they assured that their love for each other remains intact.
"However, yes, we have had a rough year. The most challenging one of our marriage. But we both love and respect each other tremendously," they admitted, before insisting, "There has been no wrongdoing on anyone's part."
"Although we are in the public eye, we ask to be able to work through our issues privately," the couple added, before begging with the public, "While it maybe be entertaining to speculate, please do not create false stories to fit a further salacious narrative."
Earlier on Monday, PEOPLE reported that Kyle and Mauricio have separated after 27 years of marriage. A source told the outlet, "Kyle and Mauricio have been separated for a while now but are still living under the same roof. They remain amicable as they figure out what's next for them and their family."
However, just a few hours earlier, the couple didn't show any signs of marital issue as they were still seen in a picture together. "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star posted on her Instagram Story a selfie that featured her posing together with her husband and Faye Resnick to wish their pal a happy 66th birthday. The pair were all smiles in the snap.
"Happy Birthday. We love you," Kyle captioned the picture, which Mauricio reposted on his own Story.
The split rumors came amid speculation that Kyle has been dating country singer Morgan Wade. They were reported to have spent a decent amount of time together recently and have matching heart tattoos.
