In addition to baby Billy, Abby has had a daughter, Edith Pepper Kennedy, with her husband, whom she married back in 2016. She welcomed Edith in October 2020 after struggling with infertility. She had talked about her IVF experience during a TV interview with Kelly Clarkson.

"The hormones are very intense, and so many people go through this and we don't talk about it enough, I think, as women. We need to raise more understanding and awareness," the comedienne candidly shared at the time.

Abby further discussed her experience with IVF treatments through an Instagram post after the interview. She wrote, "Thank you for having me @kellyclarksonshow. I got to eat lobster, be Meryl Streep, talk @nbcindebted and going through IVF treatments."

"This is an emotionally difficult process but in my case talking about it and hearing other peoples stories has made me feel less alone," she continued. "To anyone going through infertility, you are so strong."
