The famous Spanish radio host, whose real name is Renan Almendarez Coello, weighs in on his daughter and Selena's friendship when he was asked about why Francia didn't appear in 'Selena Gomez: My Mind and Me'.

AceShowbiz - Francia Raisa's father has weighed in on what happened between his daughter and Selena Gomez. Renan Almendarez Coello a.k.a. El Cucuy revealed that the "Grown-ish" alum was upset at the "Love You Like a Love Song" songstress for not stopping drinking alcohol after he donated a kidney to the latter.

The famous Spanish radio host made the revelation when he was asked about why Francia didn't appear in Selena's documentary, "Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me". He first said on "Primer Impacto" last November, "Love, money and fame changes the whole world, including Selena."

EL Cucuy was then asked if the fallout between the two women was "provoked" by Selena's drinking. In response, he explained, "There's a difference when Selena is drinking... Francia told Selena that she didn't give her the kidney so she could go out and drink."

The 69-year-old went on to issue a warning to the "Only Murders in the Building" star. He declared, "Be careful. Be really careful."

Francia and Selena have been rumored to be in a feud over the years. It got worse after Selena called Taylor Swift her "only friend in the industry." When speaking to Rolling Stone magazine in 2022, she said, "I never fit in with a cool group of girls that were celebrities... My only friend in the industry really is Taylor, so I remember feeling like I didn't belong."

However, the former Disney darling seemingly shut down the speculation as she sang praise to Francia. "My best friend. Her name is Francia. She said 'No I am absolutely getting tested,' " the Rare Beauty founder recalled in an interview on Apple TV+'s new docuseries "Dear...", before adding, "Within three days, she went to [get tested], and she was a match. And it was one of those moments where I felt watched over. I know I was so so so lucky."

"I will never, ever, ever be more in debt to a person than Francia," the ex-girlfriend of Justin Bieber continued. "The idea of someone not even second-guessing to be a donor was unbelievably overwhelming."
