The 'How I Met Your Father' star reveals that she was diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) and endometriosis.

AceShowbiz - Francia Raisa, known for her role in "How I Met Your Father", has recently revealed her diagnosis of PCOS, as well as SIBO and endometriosis. These conditions have put her at a higher risk for complicated pregnancies in the future.

PCOS is a common hormone problem that can cause irregular menstrual periods, infertility, weight gain, excess hair growth, and acne. SIBO is a complication caused by diseases or surgery that can lead to intestinal obstruction. Endometriosis is caused by endometrial tissue growing outside of the uterus, resulting in infertility, menstrual cramps, and pain during intercourse.

Raisa expressed her frustration with the lack of research into women's health and reproductive issues. She also criticized the overturning of Roe v. Wade, highlighting the attack on women's access to critical healthcare.

Her diagnosis has also led her to question the medical advice she received in the past, particularly as it relates to kidney donation. Raisa donated a kidney to her friend Selena Gomez in 2017, and she wonders if this may have contributed to her SIBO diagnosis.

Meanwhile, Dr. Robert Lufkin, a California physician, has written a book exposing what he calls "medical lies" that contribute to chronic diseases in the U.S.. He believes that the emphasis on pills and surgeries fails to address the root causes of many conditions and that lifestyle choices are crucial for improving health.

In his book, Lufkin outlines 10 "lies" that he believes are propagated by medical professionals, including the notion that "a calorie is just a calorie" and that "sugar is harmless." He emphasizes the importance of nutrition, sleep, exercise, and stress management in reversing chronic diseases.
