The 'Basic Instinct' star weighs in on the 42-year-old reality TV star's new role in 'Delicate', the newest installment of the FX anthology series, in an Instagram comment.

AceShowbiz - Sharon Stone is among those who don't think that casting Kim Kardashian for the upcoming season 12 of "American Horror Story" is the right decision. The veteran actress jumped on the bandwagon as she weighed in on the matter.

In response to an Instagram post about Patti LuPone's criticism towards Kim's new role, Sharon expressed her own take on the casting. "Well … you know … acting. It may not be brain surgery but we do treasure our art," the "Basic Instinct" star wrote in a comment. "We studied, we suffered, we do suffer for it. Ten thousand hours; it's a thing."

Sharon's remarks arrived after Patti slammed Kim for the acting gig during her appearance on "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen". After saying that "The Kardashians" star took the role away from "actors," the Broadway star said in the Sunday, April 23 episode, "Excuse me, excuse me, Kim. You know, what are you doing with your life? Don't get on the stage, Mrs. Worthington."

The "30 Rock" alum appeared to reference the 1935 Noel Coward song in which the singer discourages a stage mom from allowing her daughter to pursue a stage career. Meanwhile, fellow guest star John Leguizamo echoed the sentiment as he quipped, "Whatever she said, I double the emotion."

Earlier this month, Kim announced that she will star in "Delicate", the newest installment of the anthology series, alongside Emma Roberts. "AHS" co-creator Ryan Murphy additionally confirmed the news, saying, "Kim is among the biggest and brightest television stars in the world and we are thrilled to welcome her to the 'AHS' family."

"Emma and I are excited about collaborating with this true force in the culture. Halley Feiffer has written a fun, stylish and ultimately terrifying role especially for Kim, and this season is ambitious and unlike anything we have ever done," the statement added. It was also said that the mom of four has a lead role in the new season.

In other related news, it is said that Cara Delevingne has joined the upcoming season, which will be based on Danielle Valentine's thriller novel "Delicate Condition", as a series regular. The "Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets" actress was recently seen filming on location in New York City alongside Emma, though details of her character remain unknown.
