The 'Kelly Clarkson Show' host opens up about her daughter's dyslexia when sitting down with her guest Henry Winkler, who is also dyslexic.

AceShowbiz - Kelly Clarkson couldn't help but get emotional after revealing that her daughter River gets bullied for being dyslexic. "The Kelly Clarkson Show" host teared up after making the revelation during a chat with Henry Winkler.

In the Tuesday, April 18 episode of the show, the singer praised Heny for writing more than 30 books. "You're such a successful writer," she told her guest. "I literally was driving my daughter to school yesterday and she's dyslexic. And you have told me that you're dyslexic as well. And I find that amazing, to tell my daughter that you've written like 40 books and you're dyslexic."

" 'Cause she was getting bullied, like, at school for not being able to read like all the other kids," Kelly continued. She then noted that her daughter's school showed several successful Hollywood stars during an assembly such as Anthony Mackie, Zachary Levi and even Henry himself. The musician then stated, "It really empowered her that y'all are so open about it."

Henry, who wasn't diagnosed until he was in his 30s, later shared advice with Kelly's 8-year-old girl. "River," he said, looking at the camera. "How you learn has nothing to do with how brilliant you are."

Kelly was touched by the short message. She then grabbed a tissue and shed tears while jokingly said, "My makeup artist is going to kill me!"
