The actress portraying Wednesday Addams on the hit Netflix series will host the upcoming March 11 episode of the NBC comedy show with musical guest The 1975.

AceShowbiz - Jenna Ortega is forced to step back into the character of Wednesday Addams for the "Saturday Night Live" promo. The breakout "Wednesday" star reluctantly performed the viral dance ahead of her hosting debut on the NBC show.

The promo arrived on Wednesday, March 8. Decked out in full Wednesday-inspired attire, it begins with the comedy trio Please Don't Destroy, consisting of Ben Marshall, John Higgins and Martin Herlihy, approaching the 20-year-old actress to ask her to dance one more time.

"Honestly, this is really well-written," Jenna says after looking through a script that suggests the idea. "I just don't feel like I want to do the 'Wednesday' dance for promo because we've seen so much of it already. I think it's time to do something new."

As the camera pans to the trio, Jenna points out their outfits after they expressed they "didn't want to do the dance either," with one funnyman responding while pretending to be unaware of Jenna's character, "Is this from your television program?" Another jokes, "Wednesday Addams? More like Thursday Jones." After some hesitation, Jenna jumps in to dance along with the trio as the promo ends.

The dance number, which took place in episode 4 of "Wednesday" season 1, is set to The Cramps' 1981 song "Goo Goo Muck" and was choreographed by Jenna herself. After the show became one of the most popular series on Netflix, the dance took on a life of its own thanks to TikTok homages set to Lady GaGa's "Bloody Mary".

Jenna will host the upcoming March 11 episode of "Saturday Night Live" with musical guest The 1975. The appearance will coincide with the release of the former Disney Channel star's next film, "Scream VI", which opens in theaters on March 10.

A second season of "Wednesday" is currently in the works and Jenna will return as Wednesday. Created by Miles Millar and Alfred Gough, the show serves as a reboot of "The Addams Family" with the spin of following an older Wednesday as she heads off to a special university.
