The 'Birthday Song' rapper posts on social media a video that shows off a bunch of $1 bills, rolled and kept in a bag, that apparently belonged to his late father.

AceShowbiz - 2 Chainz's father left his family more inheritance than they had known all this time. The rapper has only discovered his dad's money stash that was apparently kept in a safe place more than 10 years after his passing.

On Wednesday, January 25, the 45-year-old took to Instagram to reveal the surprising, but pleasant discovery. He filmed his hand reaching inside a paper bag filled with $1 bills that apparently belonged to his late father.

It's not clear how much the cash amounted to, but the bills were mostly rolled. In the video, the College Park native shared that his family found the money in the basement of their house as they're going to do some renovation. "Rip Pops," he captioned it.

2 Chainz's father died in 2012, an experience that brought his "B.O.A.T.S. II: Me Time" album rollout to a screeching halt. He once opened up about his regret that he never got to share his wealth with his father, though he saw some of the rapper's success before he died.

"I was there the whole time even when he passed I was right there and it was just something," he told Angie Martinez. "And it was like, 'Man you got a tour to do, you got an album coming out,' and you know he was saying little things like Imma be aight, and really I just be talking to him like he still here."

He added at the time, "I'll be like, I know it's not cool to say, but I'll be like I can't believe you left me right now because you're supposed to be on a tour bus."

In June 2022, the "No Lie" hitmaker reflected on the 10-year anniversary of his dad's passing. "My dad died ten years ago today," Tity Boi said in an Instagram video. "Still be thinking about him too. You know if you lost a parent that s**t don't never get old. You go big though."
