The former Destiny's Child member gives a perfect response after radio host Peter Rosenberg tells her, 'You happen to be standing next to the brightest light on planet Earth.'

AceShowbiz - Kelly Rowland doesn't like to be compared to Beyonce Knowles and she has no problem making it clear. When appearing on "Ebro in the Morning", the former Destiny's Child member shut down host Peter Rosenberg for calling her the second Beyonce.

In the Wednesday, November 16 episode of the Hot 97 radio show, Peter told Kelly, "I have to give you your flowers for your ability to play second to Beyonce." The host added, "Everyone who gets in the entertainment gets into it to be the one."

"You happen to be standing next to the brightest light on planet Earth," Peter added. "Like you think Big Boi from Outkast has it tough being next to [Andre 3000] (Andre Benjamin). You're with Beyonce and not only did you not fight it. It seemed like you loved the position that you were in."

In response, Kelly explained, "Here's the thing. Light attracts light." She continued, "I am light. So, I am a beautiful, brown, shining light. So, I don't think anybody’s light dims anyone else's. I think that when other people start to compare you, I think that's when it shows how dim they are of themselves."

Kelly went on to stress that she doesn't "take somebody else trying to dim my light anymore for anybody else." She continued, "I love B, I know that she's a light, but I know that I'm a light, too."

When Peter called Beyonce one of the "biggest stars in the world," Kelly tried not to show her annoyance by giving a perfect response. "Yes, and her best friend-sister is one of the biggest stars in the world, too!" she said.
