AceShowbiz - Kanye West made headlines for all the wrong reasons. The rapper enraged people with his choice of attire while kicking off the YZYSZN9 show during Paris Fashion Week as he wore a T-shirt which read, "White Lives Matter," across the back. Unsurprisingly, the backlash came immediately with Boosie Badazz (Lil Boosie) among the critics.
The Baton Rouge rapper made use of his Twitter account to unleash on Ye over the T-shirt, which was among Yeezy's new collection. Calling him out, Boosie wrote, "@kanyewest AFTER ALL WE BEEN THROUGH AS A RACE YOU PUT THIS DISRESPECTFUL S**T ON!! U GIVES NO F**KS ABOUT HOW BLACKS HAVE DIED N SUFFERED TO THE HANDS OF THE WHITE MAN N U SAY BUSH DON'T LIKE BLACK PEOPLE.. REALLY 'N***A,' " Boosie wrote on Monday, October 3.
Boosie wasn't the only celebrity who slammed Ye publicly for his fashion choice at the Yeezy show. Jaden Smith appeared to shade the "Donda" artist in a series of tweets. "I Don't Care Who's It Is If I Don't Feel The Message I'm Out," the son of Will Smith wrote, before adding, "Black Lives Matter".
American academic/TV personality Marc Lamont Hill also weighed in on the matter. "Kanye West decision to wear a 'White Lives Matter' shirt is disgusting, dangerous and irresponsible," so he tweeted. "Some of y'all will rush to defend him. You should ask yourselves why..."
Internet users also dragged Ye as some of them insinuated that the musician was being hypocritical. "mind you kanye was just calling kim and kris the kkk 2 weeks ago and now he's wearing a white lives matter shirt," one person said, referring to Ye's social media rants against Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner.
Similarly, another user wrote, "Kanye West was on instagram not too long ago talking about the Kardashians we're corrupting his BLACK children… just to be wearing a White Lives Matter shirt." One other added, "White lives matter….. Kanye such a weirdo because with his massive platform people gonna buy into this mess."
Ye, meanwhile, has yet comment on the backlash.
