The 'Fancy' femcee claps back at a Twitter user who mocks her over a video of her 2013 'Sway in Morning' freestyle, insisting that the clip is edited and fake.

AceShowbiz - Iggy Azalea defended herself from Internet trolls. The "Fancy" femcee clapped back at a Twitter user who mocked her over a video of her 2013 "Sway in Morning" freestyle, insisting that the clip was edited and fake.

In the said video, Iggy was showing off her freestyle but one listener apparently felt that the freestyle was subpar. Someone named John from Tennesse then was heard calling the radio show and bluntly said that the performance was "trashy." Captioning the clip, the Twitter user wrote, "Never forget when John from Tennessee violated Iggy Azalea's freestyle."

Iggy responded to the tweet, reminding everyone that the clip was edited. "Never forget that this is a literal EDIT & whilst this verse is indeed trash, John from Tennessee has never called me," she penned.

A fan also defended the Australian star, writing, "They bring this video up every month Thinkin it's real and I literally just laugh." In response to that, the mom of one said, "Same because it's always to s**t on me but it doesn't upset me because it never actually happened so why would I care?"

Iggy's tweets arrived after she called out New York Post for publishing an article that claimed she had a beef with Nicki Minaj. In the controversial article, the news outlet broke down "A history of Nicki Minaj's feuds" with a number of A-list female stars in the industry. Among celebrities who were said to have bad blood with the Trinidadian star were Iggy, Mariah Carey, Miley Cyrus and Cardi B.

Catching wind of the article, Iggy quickly shut down the report. "Why am I in this?" she replied to NY Post's tweet about the article. "We've never said anything bad about one another. Y'all weird."

According to the article, the feud started after Iggy threw a subliminal diss at Nicki for her BET performance in 2010. Nicki later made comments about ghostwriters at the 2014 BET Awards, which was perceived as a shot at Iggy, who had a hit with "Fancy" at the time. During her acceptance speech for winning Best Female Hip-Hop Artist, she said, "When you hear Nicki Minaj spit, Nicki Minaj wrote it."

Nicki, however, clarified that she wasn't taking aim at Iggy with her speech. She wrote on Twitter at the time, "The media puts words in my mouth all the time and this is no different. I will always take a stance on women writing b/c I believe in us! I've congratulated Iggy on the success of Fancy, publicly. She should be very proud of that. All the women nominated should b proud."

Iggy also responded to a viral clip of her choosing Cardi's song over Nicki's in an old Power 106 interview. "That part. I can like whatever music i want lmaoooooooooo," she tweeted. "A song is a song, I'm not part of y'all weirdo lol wars."
