AceShowbiz - Meghan Markle hopes to clear the air with King Charles III. According to a new report, the Duchess of Sussex requested a one-on-one meeting with the new monarch before she and husband Prince Harry go back to California following Queen Elizabeth's funeral.
Making the claims was royal reporter Neil Sean, who said that a "very good source" told him the news. "Allegedly, she'd now like before they return to California to have a one-to-one audience with King Charles III," Neil said in a YouTube video shared on September 17. "That's right: Meghan one-to-one with King Charles III. You heard correct."
Neil shared that that the request was given to King Charles III in the form of a "formal letter." He explained, "Basically, according to this letter, she feels it would be an opportunity to clear the air, pull the rights from wrongs, and explain some of the rationale behind what they've been doing over the last two years."
According to Neil, the letter came right before the royal family entered a week-long period of private mourning following Queen Elizabeth's death on September 8. The period of public mourning ended on Monday, September 19, when the late queen was laid to rest next to her husband, Prince Philip, at the King George VI Memorial Chapel at Windsor Castle.
While the reporter has no idea if Meghan's request will be granted, he acknowledged that it's a "very brave move" from the former "Suits" actress.
In response to the report, some Internet users didn't think King Charles III should agree to the request. Blasting the Duchess of Sussex, one person wrote in the YouTube video's comments section, "The narcissist wins both ways. If he sees her she can claim that he bowed to her wishes. If he doesn't see her she can claim he is cruel. I just can't stomach that woman!" Another person said, "Don't do it Charles ! If she doesn't get what she wants she'll probably say you made a pass at her. This woman is truely unbelieveable !"
"After what she has accused of everyone, the interview with Oprah, her podcast, the book, plus her attitude and being disrespectful during the Queen's funeral, she is requesting alone time with the King because her babies didn't get their titles! She is out of her damn mind! Come on, Harry! Take your blinders off!" someone added.
One person accused Meghan of "trying to manipulate the King," while one other penned, "This is very disrespectful. He just lost his mother, his Queen, and was thrust into a new role with huge responsibilities. This is NOT the time or place."
