Titled 'We Light the Way', the upcoming episode of 'House of the Dragon' will be the last episode before a larger time jump and it will seemingly feature a royal wedding for Princess Rhaenrya.

AceShowbiz - The upcoming episode of "House of the Dragon" will be pivotal for several reasons. Titled "We Light the Way", the episode will be the last episode before a larger time jump. The preview also appears to hint at a royal wedding.

The preview opens with King Viserys planning to get his daughter and heir, Princess Rhaenyra, married. "I wish to propose a marriage to my daughter and heir," he says in voiceover. The characters are later seen gathering for a festivity which appears to be Rhaenyra's wedding.

The promo additionally teases about the King's declining health which prompts more conflict surrounding who the next heir should be. Ser Otto Hightower, the Hand of the King, notes, "The King will die. And if Rhaenyra succeeds him, war will follow." He later urges his daughter and Queen Alicent Hightower to "prepare Aegon to rule."

In episode 4, the Queen gave birth to a son named Aegon, who is the eldest son and first-in-line to the throne by gendered tradition. The episode also saw Princess Rhaenyra agreeing to choose her own husband.

Upon his return to King's Landing, Prince Daemon asked Rhaenyra to meet him outside the Red Keep. They later traveled incognito to attend a Renaissance-like festival. At one point, Daemon kissed Rhaenyra at the brothel.

They began to undress each other before Daemon guided Rhaenyra to a wall and then turned her around with her pants down. Daemon, however, then stormed off after he found the experience unpleasant. Rhaenyra wandered the hallway, calling for her uncle by name without a proper cover which made her easily recognized. One boy apparently saw her pursuing her uncle.

Later when she arrived at the Red Keep, she met Ser Criston who was shocked that she sneaked out. She then started kissing him. Criston, meanwhile, didn't try to stop her even and they ended up having sex.

The little boy, who was revealed to work for Mysaria, then told Otto Hightower what he saw. Otto didn't waste time to go to Viserys' chambers to let him know that Rhaenyra and Daemon were at a pleasure house and "engaged in behaviors unbecoming of a maiden, of a princess." Viserys didn't believe it and accused Otto of destroying Rhaenyra's reputation to have his grandson sit the Iron Throne.

Rhaenyra also denied it, saying, "I am the princess. To question my virtue is an act of treason." Alicent then tried to calm Rhaenyra down. Rhaenyra told her that Daemon "never touched" her and he "abandoned [her] for some w***e." Daemon, meanwhile, didn't deny Otto's claim and even asked King Viserys to let him marry Rhaenyra.

Eventually, Viserys summoned his daughter to his room to announce that she will marry Ser Laenor Velaryon, which will unite the dragons and the naval fleet. The King also called out Otto for trying to make Aegon his heir. He removed Otto's Hand of the King pin, told him that he could no longer trust his judgment.

At the end of the episode, Grand Maester Melios was seen bringing a specially-brewed tea for Rhaenyra courtesy of her father. The maester explained in delicate terms that this tea was a form of birth control. It appeared that while Viserys defended his daughter, he seemed like he believed that Rhaenyra had lost her V-card to Daemon.
