The Aretha Franklin depicter in 'Respect' is faced with questions about the 'Southside' rapper in a new interview after they were spotted giggly during a cozy lunch date in Philadelphia last July.

AceShowbiz - Jennifer Hudson has expertly dodged questions about her dating life. Stopping by E! News' Daily Pop to promote her new talk show, the former "American Idol" finalist tiptoed around rumors that romantically linked her to Common.
In a video of the interview released on Tuesday, September 6, Justin Sylvester first teased, "I asked about those dating rumors she had with Common, I didn't care it's my last week." The TV presenter then had a friendly banter with J-Hud during which he told her, "Honey, if Common walks in it's a one."
"You walked me into that one," Justin added, while J-Hud responded with a laugh. "If Common walks in, it's on," he continued, before adding, "I'm calling him by his government name too," prompting the singer to ask, "Oh what's his government name?"
Hoping to get a clue, Justin tried to press the EGOT winner by asking, "Do you call him by his government name?" Sensing his attempt to trick her into spilling the beans, the 40-year-old star said with a smile, "I like you. You've tried me."
From then on, the conversation moved to another topic about her upcoming talk show.
J-Hud and Common reportedly got closer while co-starring in upcoming action thriller "Breathe". During the filming of the movie in Philadelphia last July, they were caught on a date.
An eyewitness told Deuxmoi that J-Hud and the 50-year-old rapper/actor were "cozy and flirty" during the intimate dinner at Vedge restaurant. The informant shared there were "lot of cuddling and giggling," as a photo published by the outlet showed the pair smiling from ear to ear.
Later in August, the pair were seen together again when attending a back to school event for the youth in Chicago. Looking comfortable around each other, the "Glory" hitmaker casually put his hand on the "Dreamgirls" star's shoulder while she wrapped her arm around his waist as they posed with people at the event.
