Taking to his social media accounts, the 'I Feel It Coming' hitmaker tells his fans that his doctor says his voice 'is safe' after he suddenly lost his voice during his recent show in Los Angeles.

AceShowbiz - The Weeknd is doing just fine. The "I Feel It Coming" hitmaker is now preparing for Toronto show as he resumes his "After Hours Til Dawn" tour after he suddenly lost his voice when performing in Los Angeles over the weekend.

Making use of his Instagram and Twitter pages on Tuesday, September 6, the "Blinding Lights" crooner announced that he's recovering and ready to continue the tour. "doctor says my voice is safe and with rest i'll be solid and able to bring the show my TORONTO fans are waiting for," he wrote. "LA date is being worked out soon. thank you SO much for all the love and understanding that's come my way. i love you all so much… XO."

Only a few hours later, The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, shared photos of him on stage. Along with the pictures, he teased his fans, "nowhere i'd rather be than on that stage… see you soon XO."

On Saturday, September 3, The Weeknd was forced to cancel his show in Los Angeles after suddenly losing his voice, prompting disappointed fans to boo him while he was on stage. The 32-year-old Canadian singer decided to stop his gig after performing just three songs. "I don't want to stop the show. But I can't give you the concert I want to give you right now... I'll make sure everybody will get your money back," he told the crowd at SoFi Stadium.

"But I'll do a show real soon for you guys... I want to come out and personally apologize, and not tweet it or Instagram it or whatever," The Weeknd added. Before exiting the stage, he declared, "You know how much this kills me right now. I'm sorry. I love you guys. Thank you so much."

The Weeknd later doubled down on his apology on Twitter and Instagram Story. Over a black screen, he lamented, "My voice went out during the first song and I'm devastated. Felt it go and my heart dropped. My deepest apologies to my fans here. I promise I'll make it up to you with a new date."
