Lil Uzi Vert has a specific reason why they looked sad at their 27th birthday party. After a clip from the bash went viral, the "XO Tour Llif3" rapper took to Twitter to set the record straight.
"Everytime I have a bday dinner I reflect on my past and it makes me sad," the emcee, who uses the they/them pronoun, tweeted on Tuesday, August 2. "I don't know why it's just like that hug I never had ….. i be so excited in my head but be scared 2 show it. crazy man ….thank you for loving me for me y’all. hate my bday lollll."
Uzi also claimed they couldn't believe JT gave them such a luxurious gift. "My girlfriend got me a maybach van and it's fire she listen 2 all my conversations lollll," they gushed. "I was like damn why you do that she was like because I love you … I was like no you don't she was like yes I do … I was like no you don't she was like yes I do Jatavia Johnson a mess."
Aside from the expensive car, JT gave Uzi a sweet tribute on Instagram. On Sunday, July 31, the "P***y Talk" hitmaker posted the PDA-filled video that saw the two kissing, hugging, cuddling and having fun together. In the caption, she sweetly wrote, "I love you uzi I'm crying making this post because you are literally a dream come true!"
"I feel like with everything I been through in life you are one of my greatest rewards! I wake up everyday to either your frown or smile …either works for me, as long as you're right there," the City Girls star added. "You are my best friend, my twin flame.. you work so hard, you deserve the world!"
JT then professed her love as saying, "I love everything about you… from your main character energy to still being able to make me feel like I'm the only person in the room!" She further shared, "I saw you go through so much & in those times you still held me down, Mc Donald's better not never get your order wrong, everybody know I don't play bout my baby! Lmao ….I pray we find time to love each other forever & never let nothing come between us."
