Stars Nominated for Multiple Emmys in 2022

These talented Hollywood stars are nominated for lead, supporting or guest roles for their superlative work and fantastic performances on multiple shows on TV.

AceShowbiz - On Tuesday July 12, the nominations for the 74th annual Emmy Awards were announced by J.B. Smoove and Melissa Fumero. With so much great television, the competition was stiff and all the more reason for those who heard their names called to celebrate.

Several incredible stars have managed to deliver such fantastic performances on multiple TV shows that they were recognized for their works. Here's the list of stars nominated for multiple Emmys in 2022.

1. Jason Bateman

Jason Bateman has proven his notable works. The 53-year-old actor, who starred as financial adviser-turned-money launderer Marty Byrde on "Ozark", picks up two separate nominations for this year's Emmy Awards.

Jason, who previously earned an Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series nomination for the "Ozark" season 2 premiere, "Reparations", was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his work on "Ozark" and Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series for his work helming the series finale, "A Hard Way to Go".

2. Nicole Byer

Also making to the list is Nicole Byer. The 35-year-old actress and television host is up for outstanding host for a reality competition for "Nailed It!" and outstanding writing for a variety special for "Nicole Byer: BBW (Big Beautiful Weirdo)".

Prior to this, Nicole was also nominated for "Nailed It!" in 2020 and 2021. She was up for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Competition Program in 2020 and in 2021, she was nominated for Outstanding Competition Program as well as Outstanding Host for a Reality or Competition Program.

3. Quinta Brunson

Quinta Brunson, in the meantime, is up for Outstanding Acting in a Comedy Series and Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series, both for "Abbott Elementary". Responding to the multiple nominations, the 32-year-old star said that she felt so honored.

"What an honor to be nominated by the Television Academy. Creating this show has been the greatest gift and to have it recognized in this way is the dream. It's a joy we get to share with the amazing people who watched our first season," Quinta said. 4. Jerrod Carmichael

Jerrod Carmichael is a first-time Emmy nominee. The 35-year-old stand-up comedian earns two nominations, including Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for "Saturday Night Live" and Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special for "Jerrod Carmichael: Rothaniel".

Jerrod recently opened up about sexuality during an interview with Howard Stern on the latter's radio show "The Howard Stern Show". At the time, the comic admitted to having a "God-sized wall" between him and his mother after he came out as gay.

5. Julia Garner

As for Julia Garner, she stuns with double nominations. The 28-year-old actress is nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for "Ozark". She's two for two in this category, winning the award in 2019 and 2020.

Julia is also up for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Anthology Series or Movie for "Inventing Anna" in the 74th annual primetime Emmy Awards. It's her first nomination in this category.

6. Steve Martin

This year's nomination list also sees Steve Martin earning multiple Emmy nominations. The 76-year-old actor is up for Outstanding Lead Acting in a Comedy Series and Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series, both for "Only Murders in the Building".

Steve, who stars alongside Martin Short, who was also nominated for Outstanding Lead Acting, and Selena Gomez on the hit mystery-comedy series, said that he's "dismayed" over Selena's award snub, noting that she's "so crucial" to their performances.

7. Harriet Walter

Also receiving two nominations is Harriet Walter. She is up for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for "Ted Lasso" as well as Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series for "Succession".

In 2020, Harriet also earned a nomination for her work on "Succession". At the time, the 71-year-old actress portraying Lady Caroline Collingwood was nominated for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series.

8. Amy Poehler

Amy Poehler, meanwhile, earns two nominations. She is up for Outstanding Host for a Reality Competition for "Making It (with Nick Offerman)" and Outstanding Directing for Nonfiction Programming for "Lucy and Desi".

In 2016, Amy won her very first Emmy. The 50-year-old star, who has been nominated 21 times as an actor, writer and producer, nabbed Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for her work on "Saturday Night Live".

9. Rhea Seehorn

Rhea Seehorn is also an Emmy first-timer. The "Better Call Saul" star snags Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for "Better Call Saul" and Outstanding Actress in a Short Form Comedy, Drama or Variety Series for "Cooper's Bar".

Fans have been demanding that the Television Academy recognize Rhea's astonishing and electric performance as the morally conflicted lawyer Kim Wexler on the AMC series. After earning two nominations, she said, "The reception by critics and fans of the show, and then of my character and my performance -- I don't really think I can express my gratitude for that."

10. Sydney Sweeney

Aside from Rhea Seehorn and Jerrod Carmichael, Sydney Sweeney is an Emmy first-timer. The 24-year-old beauty is up for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for "Euphoria" and Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Anthology Series for "The White Lotus".

"It's an honor to know that both Olivia and Cassie have connected with so many," Sydney said after receiving multiple nominations. "I'm so proud of both these shows and grateful to everybody that's been apart of them. But most importantly mom, I love you, we did it through the ups and downs!"

11. Bill Hader

Bill Hader, in the meantime, scores four nominations for this year's ceremony. He is up for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series and Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series for "Barry" and Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for "Curb Your Enthusiasm".

Bill expressed his gratitude soon after he earned the multiple noms. "I'm just super happy and proud of everyone on the show and humbled and thrilled with the recognition and nominations," said the 44-year-old actor.

12. Zendaya

As for Zendaya Coleman, she receives triple Emmy nominations for "Euphoria". She is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series and doubly nominated for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics, all for the HBO hit series.

"Making this show with this cast and crew of the most incredibly talented people that I get the privilege of learning from everyday has been a highlight of my life," Zendaya expressed her gratitude. "I'm so proud to work beside you and CONGRATULATIONS!"
