AceShowbiz - Chris Pratt may be one of the noted Hollywood Chrises, but he doesn't like to be called by his first name. The "Guardians of the Galaxy" actor made the confession in a recent interview with SiriusXM's "Pop Culture Spotlight with Jessica Shaw".
"What do they call you?" the host first asked the Star-Lord depicter. "Pratt?" In response, the 43-year-old said, "Yep. Pratt. CP. You know, CP. 'Hey, CP.' "
"No one calls me Chris. My friend, Chad. I went golfing with my friend, Chad, my pastor the other day and he was like, 'No one calls you Chris? I'm gonna call you Chris. Alright, Chris. You're up,' " the father of three recalled. "And I was like, 'No, it feels weird. It's not my name. Don't call me Chris.' "
Despite his unwillingness to go by the name Chris, he has been dragged into jokes surrounding the Hollywood Chrises. People often made comparison between him, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans and Chris Pine.
Back in October 2020, movie scribe Amy Berg posed on Twitter the question of which one among the four actors "has to go." Unfortunately, the "Jurassic World" star turned out to be the least favorite one among social media users.
Having her answer fixed, one Twitter user responded to the question, "People keep doing different versions of this and let me be clear it's Chris Pratt every time." Another echoed the sentiment as tweeting, "Pratt x10000."
"We always knew Chris Evans was superior over Chris Pratt," a third user replied to Berg's tweet, while journalist Mehdi Hasan weighed in on the trending thread by simply remarking, "Goodbye Chris Pratt."
Citing Pratt's alleged political stance, those who dislike the "Parks and Recreation" alum wrote things like, "Chris Pratt is a white supremacist so........ Yeah he can go," and, "Chris Pratt is a trump supporter and I will never watch anything that he is in again, NEVER!"
