The Disturbing Tha Peace Records co-founder is reportedly in a critical but stable condition after he got shot at a Peachtree Hills shopping center in the city's Buckhead neighborhood.

AceShowbiz - Ludacris' longtime producer has become a victim of a shooting in Atlanta. Chaka Zulu, who is co-CEO of Disturbing Tha Peace Records, reportedly was among three men who got shot on Sunday night, June 29.

The incident took place at a Peachtree Hills shopping center in the city's Buckhead neighborhood around 11:35 P.M. According to local Atlanta station WXIA, one of the men died at a local hospital. The Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office later identified the 23-year-old man as Artez Benton from Scottdale.

Of the incident, the Atlanta Police Department stated on its website, "Upon arrival, officers located three adult males with gunshot wounds. The victims were transported to the hospital where one of them was later pronounced deceased." It added, "Homicide investigators responded to the scene to begin investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident."

Meanwhile, Police Lt. Germain Dearlove told local news media that the shooting was the "result of a dispute in the parking lot." Police have yet to identify a suspect, but they are reviewing security footage as part of the investigation.

About Chaka's current condition, a source close to the situation told Variety that he is critical but stable. The report seemingly seconded by former Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed, who reportedly told WSB-TV, "We are fortunate to report that Chaka Zulu is in stable condition and recovering. The family thanks everyone for their well wishes and prayers, and asks for their privacy at this time."

Chaka, along with Ludacris and the former's brother Jeff Dixon, founded Disturbing Tha Peace Records in 1998. Over the years, the label's artists included Ludacris himself, Chingy, Shawnna, Bobby V, Playaz Circle, Lil Scrappy and others.
