During the April interview with Gayle King on 'CBS This Morning', the 'Savage' raptress got emotional while recalling and detailing the alleged shooting that left her 'so scared.'

AceShowbiz - Tory Lanez believes that he wasn't the one who leaked the alleged evidence in the Megan Thee Stallion assault case. Speaking in court, the "Say It" rapper's legal team denied the allegations.
"Since the last court date, it was apparent there were some leaks of part of the discovery to media or members of the public," Deputy District Attorney Kathy Ta told the judge, adding that she was still "trying to ascertain" the source of the alleged leaks. "My concern is the way the leaks are being disseminated and extrapolated in certain ways to mislead the state of the evidence. I do have concerns about invested members of the public trying to subvert the fair administration of justice," she said.
Lanez's lawyer, Shawn Holley, then told the court she was confident the alleged leaks did not come from her "watermarked" discovery. The attorney further stated that Lanez, born Daystar Peterson, himself had "refused to accept" his own watermarked copies "out of concern there might be some suggestion that he had something to do with leaking."
"I'm certain that whatever exists that is out there won't have my name on it or Mr. Peterson's name on it," Holley said. The high-powered defense lawyer then complained about Stallion, whose real name is Megan Jovon Ruth Pete, speaking to "CBS This Morning", suggesting the interview ignited more interest in the case while her client is under a protective order that bars him from doing the same.
"Seventeen days after we were last here, Ms. Pete, the accuser, in this case, went on Gayle King on 'CBS This Morning', which is far beyond 'Black Twitter', and discussed exclusively the allegations in this case. So she upped the ante," Holley said. "I received numerous emails from the producers of that show asking Mr. Peterson to come on and give his side of the story."
After letting both sides make their remarks, Judge David Herriford ordered Lanez back for a follow-up hearing on July 28. He said Lanez's trial is still set to begin September 14, or within 10 days of that date.
As for Stallion, she broke down in tears when recalling the alleged shooting in the April interview. Speaking to King, the Grammy-winning femcee first detailed, "It was an argument because I was ready to go and everybody else wasn't ready to go. But that's, like, normal friend stuff. It shouldn't have got this crazy."
"So I get out of the car and it's like everything happens so fast. And all I hear is this man screaming. And he said, 'Dance, b***h.' And he started shooting," the "Savage" hitmaker continued. "And I'm just like, 'Oh, my God.' Like, he shot a couple of times. And I was so scared."
Noting that Lanez was "standing up and shooting over the window, shooting," Stallion added, "I didn't want to move, I didn't want to move too quick because if I take the wrong step I don't know if he would shoot something that's super important or he could shoot me and kill me." The female rapper went on to stress that she "was really scared" at that time "because [she has] never been shot at before."
