AceShowbiz - The 2022 CMT Music Awards is currently happening at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee, bringing out some of the biggest country music stars. Leading the charge on the red carpet were the likes of Carrie Underwood, Maren Morris and Miranda Lambert.
Carrie went leggy in a striking purple mini dress with a leopard-print pattern. The dress featured a modest slit to showcase her tanned and toned legs as it perfectly hugged her curves. She paired it with shiny black heels as she carried a glittering black clutch.
The "If I Didn't Love You" singer, who received two nominations for her collaboration with Jason Aldean, also rocked a huge ring in addition to some other accessories, including a pair of dangle earrings. Her long blonde hair was swept to one side with loose curls. She came with her husband Mike Fisher, who went more casual with a black suit, a white T-shirt and white trainers.
Maren went glamorous in a custom Rasario two-piece ensemble with Norman Silverman diamonds. The outfit featured a shimmering crop top that was covered in glowing mirrored panels and featured slim matching straps, showcasing her midriff. It's teamed with a lustrous red satin skirt with a modest train trailing her.
Her pointy heels peeked out from her long skirt as she wore minimum accessories to let her own beauty shine. She posed for pictures with her husband Ryan Hurd, who looked stylish in a mauve suit with a tie-free white shirt.
Miranda, meanwhile, looked lovely in a short dress covered in tiny sparkling studs. She put on a busty display with the revealing dress that featured a plunging neckline. She added some height with metallic pink heels. She also came with her husband Brendan McLoughlin, who looked stylish in a blue velvet tuxedo.
LeAnn Rimes oozed goddess vibe in a semi-sheer white dress with flowing train. Also bringing style to the red carpet, Mickey Guyton looked elegant in a white Reem Acra dress, Stuart Weiztman heels and Alexis Bittar earrings. Her dress featured a plunging neckline and was decorated with beaded floral designs.
Carly Pearce was literally sparkling in a strapless green SemSem gown with a high slit, Stuart Wietzman heels in matching color and Anabela Chan and Retrouvai accessories. Monica, who was tapped as one of the performers, wowed in a space-age ensemble by Rick Owens with a busty black shoulder shrug and a high-waisted black leather skirt.
Ahead of the April 11 ceremony, co-host Kelsea Ballerini announced that she tested positive for COVID-19 a few days before. "A couple days ago I tested positive for COVID. The CMT Awards are tonight, so unfortunately I cannot be there in person anymore, and I am devastated. I'm gutted. The good news is that I'm feeling a lot better," she said in an Instagram video released earlier on Monday.
However, she will still be able to host and perform virtually. "The incredible CMT family and my team have brought part of the CMT set to my house, to my bubble, and set it up to where I can still host and perform. It is certainly not what we had expected and planned for, but we are doing our damn best," she continued. Kane Brown has been tapped to join actor Anthony Mackie as an in-person co-host.
