Kathy Hilton Recalls How Carter Reum 'Offended' Her During Daughter Paris' Wedding Planning

During her appearance on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' alongside her daughter Paris, the latter also reveals her mom's hilarious nicknames for her entrepreneur husband.

AceShowbiz - Paris Hilton and her husband Carter Reum's wedding back on November 11, 2021 was perfect, but the planning process was not so much. The hotel heiress' mom Kathy Hilton revealed in a new interview that her son-in-law even offended her at one point.

During her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" alongside her daughter on Monday, January 24, she explained that she felt Paris' then-fiance got too involved in the wedding planning. The topic was brought when Paris revealed that Kathy called Carter "the Octopus" and "the Groomzilla," because according to Kathy, "He has got his mitts into everything."

Kathy then started to recall how she was annoyed when Carter was getting too involved in the wedding for him and Paris. "She goes, 'Mommy, he means well,' " Kathy recalled of Paris' reaction at the time. "But he was offending me. He was calling the cake place. He was calling the band. He was calling the party planner, the hotels, everything."

"I said, 'This is not normal.' He even picked out the invitation and the save the date cards," Kathy added. Defending her husband, "The Simple Life" alum said, "He's just very responsible, very organized, and we're not."

Paris and Carter tied the knot on November 11 at her late grandfather Barron's Bel-Air estate in Los Angeles. "Paris selected her dress late last night. There is a lot of love and support surrounding both Carter and Paris," a source claimed at the time. Paula Abdul, Kyle Richards, Bebe Rexha, Emma Roberts and Evan Ross were among those attending the "fairytale" wedding.

The now-husband and wife started dating in December 2019. They got engaged in February this year. Her journey to the altar has been documented for a new reality series, "Paris in Love", on Peacock.
