AceShowbiz - Kathy Hilton, the sister of Kim Richards, recently shared a message of support for her sibling amid reports of a relapse with substance abuse. "We love her and we support her, and that's all I can say," Hilton told People magazine.
When asked if Kim was doing better, Hilton replied, "Yes, I think in the world there's always hope."
Kim's substance abuse struggles have been documented over the years, including during her time on the reality show "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills". In 2010, her sister Kyle Richards accused her of being an alcoholic, leading to a tense exchange. Kim entered rehab the following year.
In September 2023, TMZ reported that Kim had been placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold after an alleged altercation with Kyle. She was transported to a hospital for "incoherent" behavior.
Sources close to the family have indicated that Kim's reliance on alcohol has caused conflict between her and her sisters, particularly Kyle, who has been the worrier of the family. They have also revealed that Kim's family had cut contact with her in hopes that she would get sober again.
Despite these challenges, Kathy Hilton remains steadfast in her support for her sister. She expressed her belief that Kim can overcome her struggles and that there is always hope for recovery.
