AceShowbiz - Rick Ross may have the answer for Ari Lennox's concern regarding her music career. After the "Shea Butter Baby" artist shared that she wanted to be dropped from her music label Dreamville Records, Rick made a bizarre suggestion to her.
"I want to be dropped from the labels. I'm done and tired," Ari wrote on Sunday afternoon, January 23. In another tweet, she revealed that she wanted to be "free."
Rick apparently caught wind of the singer's tweets. He left a comment on The Shade Room's post about Ari's initial tweets, writing, "She needs @wingstop."
Ricky Rozay was referring to the fried chicken restaurant which he has been partnering with for a long time. While it was unknown how Ari's concern might have something to do with chicken, Rick maybe just needed to promote the chain of restaurants at any given chance.
That aside, Ari recently blasted South African podcaster MacGyver "MacG" Mukwevho over his offensive questions during an interview. While discussing her explicit song "Pop", MacG asked Ari, "And where are we at right now? Is someone f**king you good right now?"
Not feeling the question, the musician responded, "Oh my god. That's a wild question. Why ask it that way? Whoa."
Ari doubled down on her displeasure over the offensive questions on Twitter. "I'm just like…why was I alone on a call full of people? Why didn't anyone intervene?” she wrote in a series of tweets on Friday, January 21.
"And why wasn't parts of the interview destroyed like the team promised? Why did it happen to begin with? I just feel slow and ambushed and blindsighted. Just because I happily and freely sing/write about sex don't make any kind of creepy disrespect warranted. I clearly was in immense shock and hate that I didn't react differently," she continued.
Ari also noted that she wouldn't be doing interviews anymore. "But as for interviews I'm not doing them anymore. There's enough lives and interviews out there already," she said. "I've been my most happiest creating music and exploring life sober. I'm not allowing anything to tamper with my peace anymore."
