Justin Johnson, a man wanted for the murder of the 'Major' emcee, is still on the run, days after declaring his innocence and announcing plans to surrender to police this Monday, January 10.

AceShowbiz - Young Dolph's murder suspect is still on the run despite his promise to turn himself in. Justin Johnson, who is wanted by police on several charges, including first degree murder, failed to turn himself in on Monday, January 10.

On January 8, Justin announced his plans to surrender to police. "Turning myself in Monday @201," he posted on his Instagram Story. He went on to stress, "I'm innocent. I'll be back sooner than you can blink."

The Memphis rapper, who goes by the name Straight Drop, then turned to his Instagram feed to call out ABC 24. Posting a clip of local news coverage from the outlet, he argued, "Next time post the REAL… BS a** Blogs."

However, Justin never showed up on Monday. According to Fox13 Memphis, an attorney expected to represent the 23-year-old said he was unaware of any plan by Justin to turn himself in. Multiple law enforcement also believe Justin has fled the Memphis area, making his capture more difficult.

Instead of turning himself in, Justin dropped new music on Monday. His new music video for a song called "Track Hawk" had been scheduled to be released on his YouTube channel. "Back again. Straight drop 'Track Hawk'," he promoted it on his Story. "Official video out now. Link in bio."

He appeared to be taunting the authorities in another post, writing, "None but gangster s**t on my record ! You n***s police and bogus , all my charges I did time for or either got drop."

In December 2021, Justin was identified as one of the suspects who shot and killed Dolph, real name Adolph Robert Thornton Jr., in Memphis on November 17. He is wanted by police in connection with a number alleged charges, including criminal attempted first-degree murder and property theft.

Law enforcement says Justin is on the TBI Most Wanted list, has ties to organized crime and should be considered armed and dangerous. The law enforcement agencies offered a combined award of $15,000 for information leading to his arrest.
