Smith admitted to shooting Young Dolph and testified that Govan recruited him and Johnson to carry out the murder on behalf of Anthony Big Jook Mims, the late brother of rapper Yo Gotti. Johnson was convicted and sentenced to life in prison plus 35 years, while Smith cooperated with authorities in exchange for a reduced sentence. Anthony Big Jook Mims was killed in Memphis in January 2024.
