Taking to his social media account, the 'Going Bad' rapper unveils that sobriety helps him 'think deeper and more realistic' as he gets depressed as soon as he gets high.

AceShowbiz - Meek Mill has weighed in on sobriety and smoking weed. Taking to his social media platform, the "Going Bad" rapper revealed that being sober makes him "happy as hell" as smoking weed leaves him depressed.

On Saturday, January 8, the 34-year-old rapper made use of his Twitter account to tell his fans and followers about his sobriety journey. "I smoke weed everyday and get depressed and soon as I get high …, I be happy as hell sober lol," so said the "All Eyes On You" spitter. He also added that being sober "helps [him] think deeper and more realistic."

Meek Mill weighed in on sobriety and depression on Twitter.

In response, many social media users accused him of lying. One replied, "Stop lying to your fans." Meanwhile, a second critic said, "Say that s**t," with someone else chimed in, "Lying. This is y'all's idol?"

Last November, Meek, whose real name is Robert Rihmeek Williams, announced that he would be taking a social media hiatus. He tweeted at the time, "About to take a break from social media … I see too much crazy s**t."

Meek followed his tweet by stating that he's concerned for the younger generation who grew up with social media always in their lives. "Being a young kid gotta be confusing as shit in these times of social media….. I be lost seeing some of this stuff," he wrote.

One month earlier, Meek made use of his Twitter account to lash out at his label, claiming that he hasn't seen any of the money he makes from his music. He said in a Twitter post, "Ask the record label? how much have you spent on me as a artist?"

"Then you ask how much have you made off me as a artist [sic]?" Meek continued fuming. The "Dreams and Nightmares" rapper further stated, "I'm about to make my record deal public by monday just to let the world see what these people on!!!"
