The 'Red Light Green Light' rapper, born Jonathan Lyndale Kirk, was previously accused of attacking a driver during a ride with his pal back in November 2019.

AceShowbiz - DaBaby is finally breathing a sigh of relief. The "Red Light Green Light" rapper, who allegedly attacked a driver during a ride two years ago, reportedly had his charges dismissed.

Revealing the news was TMZ. According to online court records, the misdemeanor battery charge was tossed with prejudice. It means that the case is over and cannot be revisited.

On the reason why, the Clark County District Attorney's Office informed the outlet that the 29-year-old star has paid his accuser $7,500. He also complied with a Las Vegas court's orders to resolve the matter by staying out of trouble.

The alleged incident reportedly took place back in November 2019. At that time, DaBaby and his friend ordered car service in Las Vegas. Inside the Mercedes Sprinter van, the Cleveland-born rapper and his friend lit up a joint and the driver told them that they're not allowed to do so.

Unfortunately, it seemed that the "Ball If I Want To" spitter and his pal were offended by the driver's order as they reportedly began cursing him out and threatening him. When they arrived at their destination, which was the Hard Rock Hotel, the driver told the two to pay. However, the emcee allegedly punched him instead in the back of the head and said, "You ain't the boss."

DaBaby has previously shut down the allegations. Taking to his Instagram Story in May, he declared, "100% false. Y'all stay positive. The devil gone always try you when you doing good."

His attorney Drew Findlay also came to his defense. In a statement to TMZ, Drew pointed out, "A 100% false accusation which suspiciously pops up in February regarding an alleged incident in November." The lawyer additionally claimed that money is the motive behind the accusations, saying, "We can smell another attempted money grab."
