The upcoming first installment of the two-part sequel to 'Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse' sees Miles Morales in dilemma when Gwen Stacy pays him a surprise visit.

AceShowbiz - The first trailer for "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One)" has been released for viewing pleasure. It offers a sneak peek into what to expect from the upcoming sequel to 2018's animated Spidey flick "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse".

Shameik Moore and Hailee Steinfeld are back to voicing Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy respectively. The trailer kicks off with Morales chilling in his room listening to Post Malone and Swae Lee's "Sunflower", a nod to the first film.

Morales is grounded and Stacy puts him in a tough spot when she asks him to hang out. He thought he would never see her again after the events in the first movie, so imagine his surprise when she suddenly popped up in his room and asked, "Wanna get out of here?"

The upcoming flick is the first of a two-part sequel. It's described as an epic adventure that will transport Brooklyn's full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man across the Multiverse to join forces with Gwen Stacy and a new team of Spider-People to face off with a villain more powerful than anything they have ever encountered.

Phil Lord and Christopher Miller return for the sequel. Jake Johnson reprises his role as Miles Morales' reluctant mentor Peter B. Parker. Oscar Isaac is back as Miguel O'Hara from "Spider-Man 2099" following his cameo in the first film. Meanwhile, Issa Rae joins the cast as Jessica Drew.

The first installment of "Across the Spider-Verse" is scheduled to make its way out in October 2022. It's pushed back from the original date in April due to the prolonged Covid-19 pandemic.

The second part is due to be released in 2023 and a female-centric spin-off is expected to follow.
