Meanwhile, Memphis police chief asks everyone to stay home and remain calm as people fear retaliations in the wake of the 'RNB' rapper's death in a shooting.

AceShowbiz - Police may have found a lead in the case of Young Dolph's murder. As investigation into the matter is still ongoing, photos of the alleged gunmen who opened fire on the Memphis rapper have hit the web.

In the pictures which have circulated online, two men were seen pointing guns from the parking lot. Both were wearing face masks which obscured their faces, with one wearing a baseball cap and another putting on his hoodie.

The identities of the shooters have not been released by cops. Memphis Police Chief C.J. Davis said during a news conference Wednesday night, "Our preliminary investigation reveals the victim is Adolph Randolph Thornton, Jr. And this shooting is another example of the senseless gun violence we've seen far too often locally and nationwide."

Meanwhile, people have expressed concerns about public safety in the city in fear of retaliations in the wake of Dolph's death. Several leaders have also urged people to remain calm.

Memphis Mayor Jim Strickland tweeted condolences to Dolph's family and asked for "calm in our city to allow MPD to capture those responsible." Memphis City Councilman JB Smiley tweeted, "I'm hopeful the City of Memphis will implement a curfew to preserve the safety of all citizens." Tennessee State Representative London Lamar also tweeted, "let's add a citywide curfew tonight."

Asked if she thinks a curfew is necessary, Davis said, "Right now, we think that the deployment of our officers in specific areas that are impacted the most will be enough presence for tonight." She added, "Tonight, we strongly encourage everyone to stay home if you do not have to out. We also strongly encourage everyone to remain calm as we actively perform our investigation."

As reported before, at least two squad cars have been stationed outside Prive, which is owned by Yo Gotti, Dolph's nemesis. The restaurant was closed for the evening. However, local news reporters have debunked reports that Gotti's restaurant and the house of Blac Youngsta's grandmother's home were shot at.

"Prive's in Memphis has NOT been shot up per @MEM_PoliceDept," Hannah Wallsmith tweeted on Wednesday, November 17. She then added, "Granny's house not shot up either," citing the same source.

Dolph was shot and killed on Wednesday while he was shopping inside a cookie store. Makeda's Cookies, where the rapper was gunned down, has broken its silence on the tragic incident to mourn the death.

"We are heartbroken and saddened by the passing of Young Dolph," it posted on Instagram along with a photo of the late MC. "He was a regular customer and loved Makedas Cookies. My parents are in a lot of pain from this. Our hearts and condolences goes out to his family. He will never be forgotten and will be so missed."
