The Green Bay Packers quarterback will miss the game against the Kansas City Chiefs as he has to be isolated for at least 10 days following his coronavirus test result.

AceShowbiz - Aaron Rodgers has tested positive for COVID-19. The Green Bay Packers quarterback contracted the virus amid rumors he lied about being vaccinated and will be isolated for at least 10 days.

The NFL star was placed on the NFL's reserve/COVID-19 list and will not play the game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, November 7. The team's head coach, Matt LaFleur, stated during a press conference on Wednesday, November 3 that the 37-year-old athlete "won't be available this week" and that backup Jordan Love will replace him.

LaFleur said he informed the other Packers players during a team meeting earlier that day of Rodgers' positive test result. "I said, 'Hey, it's a great challenge. Nobody is going to feel sorry for us. And we all have to prepare to the best of our ability to go down there and get a win,' " he said. "And that's the mindset. They're not going to postpone or cancel the game."

LaFleur further explained that Rodgers is currently following COVD-19 protocols. However, the coach declined to discuss details of Rodgers' vaccination status. He also said he didn't know when the reigning league MVP would return to play.

Under the league's coronavirus protocols, an unvaccinated player must remain in isolation for at least 10 days following a positive test result. The player, if asymptomatic, may return to the team after that 10-day isolation.

A vaccinated player can return to the team setting sooner, without a mandatory 10-day isolation, by remaining symptom-free and having two negative test results 24 hours apart. One of the people familiar with the case said Rodgers can rejoin the Packers after his 10-day isolation if he remains symptom-free. The source also confirmed Rodgers' unvaccinated status.

In August, Rodgers told reporters and news outlets that he's "been immunized" ahead of the upcoming season for which some players had refused to get the vaccine. The one-time "Jeopardy!" guest host said at that time, "It's an interesting issue that I think we will see played out through the entire season. There's guys on the team that haven't been vaccinated and it's a personal decision, not going to judge those guys."
