Aaron Rodgers has surpassed Tom Brady as the most sacked quarterback in NFL history, but the milestone is little consolation for the struggling New York Jets.

AceShowbiz - During the Jets' dismal 40-14 loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, December 29, 41-year-old Aaron Rodgers was sacked four times, breaking Tom Brady's previous record of 565. "Yeah, I got Tom on that," Rodgers joked after the game.
The dubious distinction came in Rodgers' 247th NFL game, while Brady played 335 games in his career. The defeat was just one in a string of embarrassments for the Jets, who entered the season with Super Bowl aspirations but have now fallen to 4-12.
Rodgers expressed frustration during the third quarter by earning an unsportsmanlike penalty for pushing Bills cornerback Christian Benford after throwing his second interception.
"I don't think I pushed him very hard," Rodgers said. He acknowledged that the game reflected the team's struggles throughout the season. "We were moving the ball well, and then we just hit a wall," Rodgers explained. "And that's been kind of the season, too."
The Jets will conclude their disappointing regular season on Sunday, January 5, against the Miami Dolphins. Rodgers has indicated he would like to return next season, but no official decision has been made by the team.
ESPN reported that the franchise will interview Rex Ryan and Ron Rivera for the head coaching job this offseason. Jeff Ulbrich has served as interim coach since Robert Saleh was fired in October.
Despite the team's struggles, David Bakhtiari, Rodgers' former teammate and friend, congratulated him on setting the record. "Congrats Aaron Rodgers another one for the record books!!!!" Bakhtiari tweeted.
Rodgers now has 568 sacks in his career, with one game remaining in what could be his final season with the Jets and potentially the NFL.
