Meanwhile, a 911 call reveals 'Rust' script supervisor blamed another crewmember who was supposed to check the guns before the accident that killed director of photography Halyna Hutchins and injured director Joel Souza.

AceShowbiz - Alec Baldwin was handed with a loaded gun before the fatal shooting on the set of "Rust". A warrant from the ongoing police investigation reveals that the gun, which was held and discharged by the actor, was loaded with a live round.

The "30 Rock" alum was handed the gun by the movie's assistant director, who told him that it was safe to use. The warrant obtained by the Associated Press also mentions that the assistant director didn't know the gun was loaded, while it remains unknown who actually loaded the gun.

Alec's blood-stained costume, the gun that went off as well as other prop guns and ammo have been taken as evidence by police. The warrant says Halyna Hutchins was shot in the chest and Joel Souza was wounded as he was standing behind her.

Meanwhile, a 911 call reveals the gun went off during rehearsal. A female caller, who is said to be the film's script supervisor, was clearly upset. She was heard blaming someone who was supposed to check the guns.

A male on the film set later took over the call and let the operator know that both victims were alert. He also told the operator that there was a medic who was tending to them on the set.

Meanwhile, a source tells TMZ that gun safety has been a consistent issue on set of the western movie. Just last weekend, blank rounds were shot when they were not supposed to go off.

As reported before, Alec fired the gun that struck director of photography Halyna and injured director Joel on the set at the Bonanza Creek Ranch. Halyna died after she was airlifted to the University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque. Joel was also taken to the hospital, but he has since been discharged.

Alec has reached out to Halyna's family following the accident. "There are no words to convey my shock and sadness regarding the tragic accident that took the life of Halyna Hutchins, a wife, mother and deeply admired colleague of ours," he said in a statement.

"I'm fully cooperating with the police investigation to address how this tragedy occurred and I am in touch with her husband, offering my support to him and his family. My heart is broken for her husband, their son, and all who knew and loved Halyna."

The actor, who also produces the movie, looked distraught and appeared to be sobbing while on the phone outside the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office on Thursday evening, October 21 after he was questioned about the shooting. No charges have been filed.
