The 'X-Men' director looks distressed while chatting with a male friend and sitting outdoor at a coffee shop in Los Angeles, several years since he was last seen in public following the scandal.

AceShowbiz - Bryan Singer has been spotted out in public for the first time in three years since he was engulfed in sexual assault scandal. The "X-Men" director was photographed while grabbing for some coffee with a male friend in Los Angeles.

It's unclear when exactly the photos were taken, but Singer appeared not to be in a good mood. Sitting outside at a coffee shop, he seemed to already have a rough day in the morning as he looked distressed while chatting with his pal.

In one of the images obtained by Daily Mail, the 55-year-old appeared to be crying as he wiped tears from his cheek while his head was down. In another photo, he buried his face in his two hands, looking frustrated.

Bryan Singer's First Picture in Three Years Since Sexual Assault Allegations

Bryan Singer seemed to be crying during his first public outing since sexual assault allegations.

The disgraced filmmaker also gave a blank stare when he took a phone call. He was later seen leaving together with his male friend in a car, with Singer sitting in the passenger seat.

For the outing, Singer dressed casually in a navy blue T-shirt underneath a plaid button down in addition to a hooded unzipped jacket. He also wore sunglasses when entering the car with his leftover coffee in one hand.

Singer has been staying out of the spotlight since he was hit with sexual assault allegations in 2019. At the time, Alex French and Maximillian Potter published an investigative report in The Atlantic in which four men alleged that the director sexually assaulted them when they were underage.

Singer denied the allegations and blasted the reporters for what he dubbed "homophobic" smear piece. "It's sad that The Atlantic would stoop to this low standard of journalistic integrity," he said in a statement at the time. "Again, I am forced to reiterate that this story rehashes claims from bogus lawsuits filed by a disreputable cast of individuals willing to lie for money or attention."

Singer was previously also accused of sexual assault by Michael Egan in 2014, but the case was later dropped. Meanwhile, a 2017 lawsuit by Cesar Sanchez-Guzman, who claims the filmmaker sexually assaulted him in 2003 when he was 17 years old, was settled with Singer paying the alleged victim $150,000.
