The 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' actress announces she is taking a break from social media as she needs to 'reset' and focus on her newborn son and family.

AceShowbiz - "9-1-1" star Jennifer Love Hewitt is quitting social media for a few weeks because it often makes her question her worth as a new mum.

The actress needs to take some time out from Instagram and her other accounts so she can "reset" and stop comparing herself to other people and focus on her son, Aiden James, who was born in September (21).

Taking to her Instagram Story on Sunday (17Oct21), Jennifer wrote, "I need to reset. I need to take my scrolling time and make it active time. Workouts, breathing, manifesting, time with my kids and husband. All of it."

She added that she feels the pressure to get back in shape after a baby more intensely when she's spending time online.

"Social media makes me feel bad sometimes. Like I'm not enough. Doing enough. Getting my body back fast enough. Giving enough. All of it," she continued.

Jennifer hopes her message resonated with fans and followers who may share her feelings.

"I only share this for that one person or maybe more today who need time," she wrote. "Just for them. And need to know it's OK to take it. And in fact the taking of that time will make everything better. I promise. Sending love!"

Her two other children with actor husband Brian Hallisay, daughter Autumn, seven, and son Atticus, six, have already vowed to give up YouTube videos in solidarity, leading mum to pen, "So one small miracle already, lol."
